Request for Massage Therapist License -Jessica Maas

APPLICANT
Jessica Maas
BACKGROUND
Jessica Maas is requesting a Massage Therapist License to practice therapeutic massage at the
Waterfall Salon and Day Spa located at 705 Main Street. Jessica has submitted her
application and met the city's educational requirements of 500 hours of successfully
completed course work in the area of massage. However, the Chief of Police is
recommending denial of the application. The Chief indicated that Ms. Maas did not provide
true information in the application.
Jessica may be present at the Council meeting to plead her case to the Council.
ACTION REQUESTED
Council motion either approving or denying a Massage Therapist License for Jessica Maas to
practice therapeutic massage at Waterfall Salon and Day Spa in Elk River.
