Temporary Liquor License Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce
REQUEST
Temporary 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor On-Sale
APPLICANT
Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce
BACKGROUND
The above request is for the annual 4th of July event hosted by the Elk River Area Chamber
of Commerce. The event takes place at Lake Orono Park. The request is to sell 3.2 percent
beer on sale on July 4, 2002, during the July 4th event. The Chamber of Commerce has
submitted the appropriate application and license fee. Because the event is being held on
City property at Lake Orono Park, liquor liability insurance is required. Approval of the
request should be based on the City receiving a certificate of insurance showing liquor
liability coverage.
ACTION REQUESTED
Council motion approving the request of an on-sale 3.2% malt liquor license for the Elk
River Area Chamber of Commerce contingent on the City receiving liquor liability insurance.
