Adopt attached resolution amending the meeting time for the Arena Commission meetings to 5:30 p.m.
on the second Wednesdays of January and November,effective January 9,2013.
Background/Discussion
The Arena Commission meetings on the second Wednesdays of January and November currently begin
at 6:00 p.m.This conflicts with the Parks and Recreation Commission meetings,making it difficult for
staff and the Parks Commission representative assigned to the Arena Commission to attend both
meetings.
The Arena Commission voted unanimously to begin their meetings in January and November at
5:30 p.m. effective January 9, 2013.

RESOLUTION 12-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ICE ARENA COMMISSION
MEETING TIMES
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council adopted Resolution 96-96 establishing the Ice
Arena Commission meetings and adopted Resolutions 05-86 and 06-112
amending those meetings;and
WHEREAS, on November 14,2012,the Ice Arena Commission voted unanimously to
amend the meeting time for the meetings held on the second Wednesday of
January and the second Wednesday of November to 5:30 p.m.;and
WHEREAS, Section 2-255 of the Elk River City Code calls for the City Council to
establish by resolution the meeting dates,times, and locations of the Ice
Arena Commission meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
that the FR River Ice Arena Commission shall meet on the second Tuesday of April and the
second Tuesday of August at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall and the second Wednesday of January
and the second Wednesday of November at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with additional meetings
being held at the call of the chair or at the request of two other commissioners.
