1. Call Meeting To Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the work session meeting of the Elk River Parks and
Recreation Commission was called to order at 6:34 p.m. by Chair Anderson.
2. Consider October 3, 2012 Parks &Recreation Commission Work Session enda
MOVED BY COMMISSIONER NYSTROM AND SECONDED BY
COMMISSIONER AHLNESS TO APPROVE THE OCTOBER 3, 2012 PARKS &
RECREATION WORK SESSION AGENDA. MOTION CARRIED 6-0.
3. Work Session Discussion Items - 2013 Capital Improvement Projects
Parks and Recitation Director,Michael Hecker explained that commission members
prioritize the 2013 Capital Improvement Projects.
Planner/Parks Planner, Chris Leeseberg presented the following projects that need attention.
1. Downtown parking lot retaining wall
2. Trott Brook Creek Trail
3. Kliever Lake Fields
4. Deerfield Playground
5. Baldwin Playground
6. Lions Park Skate Park
7. Oak Knoll well
8. Woodlands Trail; Great Northern Trail south of tunnel
9. Windsor Park Trail (portion along County Road 33)
10. Lake Orono boat launch dock
11. Orono Park dog park
12. Orono Park play structure
13. Installation of 3,000 park property line signage
