Adopt attached resolution acknowledging the contributions from organizations,businesses,and citizens
pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03. Statute requires resolutions to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Police Department has two donations since September 2012. The attached spreadsheet lists the date
of the donation,the donor,the amount donated,and the intent of the donation.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
• $2,400.00 worth of donations in the form of cash made to the city.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations,and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2012 from various
individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A,attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
that the donations on the attached Exhibit A are accepted in accordance with the terms
prescribed by the donors.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 22nd day of January,
2013.
