Appoint at least one member from the Parks and Recreation Commission to serve on the Skate Park
Committee. .
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the January 22 City Council meeting,the City Council directed by motion for staff to form a skate
park committee with the skate board users to determine replacement options. Park Planner Chris
Leeseberg has offered to chair the committee. Many of the skate boarders who attended the January
Parks and Recreation Commission meeting have spoken to staff and a tentative first meeting is scheduled
for February 20. Staff is recommending at least one member of the Parks and Recreation Commission
also serves on this Committee.
