SUBJECT: Extend Temporary Building Inspector Position
At their October 13, 2003 meeting, the Elk River City Council approved a temporary
Building Inspector position for three months, while staff went through the process to fill a
vacancy. The Building and Environmental Department is requesting an extension to
this temporary position for up to one month (February 2, 2004).
The temporary position ends on January 5, 2004. The application deadline for the
permanent Building Inspector position ends on January 9th. Staff anticipates interviewing
for the permanent position the week of January 12th. By the time a candidate gives a two
week notice, it brings us to the first week of February. Thank you for your consideration.
