EDA/HRA and Library Board Appointments
Item # 5.4
The following terms will expire on December 31, 2003. All of these terms are Mayoral
appointments. Per the City of Elk River Board and Commission Appointment Policy:
"The Mayor, upon approval of the Council, shall make appointments to the HRA, EDA,
and Library Board. The Mayor shall decide whether or not to advertise for these
positions."

Larry Toth Term ends 12/31/03 5-year term 17 years
Jennifer Sharp Term ends 12/31/03 3-year term 2 years
EDA
Pat Dwyer is interested in reappointment to the EDA for another 6-year term. Mr. Dwyer
was first appointed on 2/12/90 until 12/31/91 followed by two reappointments of 6-year
terms.
HRA
Larry Toth is interested in reappointment to the HRA for another 5-year term. Mr. Toth
was appointed on 1/2/89 filling a vacancy, with reappointment to a second term serving
from 1991 until 12/31/94. On 12/1/97, he was appointed to fill a vacancy and in 1999
reappointed for another 5-year term expiring 12/31/03.
LIBRARY BOARD
Jennifer Sharp does not wish to be reappointed for another term. She was appointed on
4/9/02 filling a vacancy with her term expiring on 12/31/03. Staff has not received any
other applications and is currently advertising.
Action Requested
Council motion reappointing EDA and HRA members as requested by Mayor Klinzing.
