Consider Bi-Monthly HRA Meetings
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The HRA currently meets on a monthly basis, and frequently meetings are cancelled or called with no
actionable items. In 2011 and 2012, there were eleven such meetings. While the presentations and
information conveyed to residents at meetings with no actionable items is valuable, the information could
easily be conveyed using other means. Social media, the website and constant contact emails can be just as
effective and require less committee and staff time. Special meetings can also be requested at any time as
needed.
An adjustment to the HRA meeting schedule would require an amendment to the bylaws of the
organization. If the Authority wishes to exercise the option of bi-monthly meetings, staff will prepare an
amendment of the bylaws for the April meeting.
