This is to remind you of our upcoming meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
at the Elk River City Hall in the Uppertown Conference Room. Please see the attached
agenda and minutes.

I. PLANNING COMMISSION ITEMS
No items on the Planning Commission agenda for discussion.
2. HISTORY DAY
Please bring updates from the February meeting and be prepared to further discuss the
feasibility of a History Day in Elk River.
3. TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
The Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) staff is interested in attending
HPC meetings to provide educational opportunities. This will be offered on a first
come, first serve basis.
The subjects to choose from are as follows:
a. Local Designations: Best Practices
b. How to Run an Effective Meeting
c. Design Review: Preserving Heritage and Improving Physical Environment
' d. Other topics of interest to Elk.River HPC
