In January the Commission awarded the rehabilitation project management and engineering services bid to Badger State Inspection, LLC/WSB &Associates, Inc. Badger State and WSB have worked with staff to develop the rehabilitation construction documents and the notice for bids has been posted. DISCUSSION: The bid opening was scheduled for March 15. The bid tabulation will be provided at the Commission meeting. A total of five bids were received. The bids were checked for mathematical accuracy and tabulated. The Engineer's Estimate was $892,500. Please find enclosed the bid tabulation indicating the low bidder as Odland Protective Coatings, Inc., Rockford, MN, in the amount of $625,000.00, which is the base bid plus the alternate items and spring construction. We recommend that Elk River Municipal Utilities consider these bids and award a contract to Odland Protective Coatings, Inc., based on the results of the bids received.
