ACTION REQUESTED
Approve by motion the hiring of Parker Theisen as part-time IT Support Assistant beginning April 9,
2013.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
After review of the applications received, staff interviewed six candidates for this position. Mr. Theisen
rose to the top with his current experience working for Mille Lacs County and an AAS Degree in IT. Mr.
Theisen plans to continue working part-time at Mille Lacs County while working this 20 hour per week
(average) position.
Mr. Theisen would begin at pay grade 3, step A. Based on satisfactory performance,Mr. Theisen will be
eli gible for a step increase in 6 months. All other pay increases and benefits will be consistent with city
Policy.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
This is a budgeted part-time position in the Information Technology budget.
