The summer 2013 Parks and Recreation Program Guide has been published and has been
mailed out to past program participants. Residents can also pick up a copy at key locations
around Elk River including City Hall,Library,YMCA,Activity Center, and the downtown
kiosk. A full complement of recreation programs for all ages are now ready for registrations.

SUBJECT: Activity Center Report
March Recap:
• Two fundraisers for C.A.E.R. food shelf were held at the Activity Center in March.
Totals raised were $645.00 and 300 pounds of food.
• New classes included Ukrainian Egg painting and Calligraphy. Due to a large waiting
list a second calligraphy class will be held on April 5's.
• Three trips were held in March. They were to Crossroads Mall,Macy's Flower
Show/Como Conservatory, and Paramount Theater for the Celtic Tenors
performance.
• Since the implementation of the RecTac touch screen for participant check in, daily
attendance has grown considerably. This is proving to be a better method for
tracking attendance.

Upcoming April Events:
April is Volunteer Appreciation month. The Activity Center will hold a Volunteer
