SUBJECT: Consider Hiring Part Time Accounting Clerk
Item ~ 3.3.
The finance department interviewed applicants for the part time accounting clerk position,
and we are recommending that Denise Cully be hired to fill this new position. Denise
currently works for the City of Columbia Heights in the finance department. In addition to
holding a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Denise is pursuing a second degree
with a finance and accounting focus.
Based on Denise's previous experience with the City of Columbia Heights and the
compensation she is currently receiving, staff is recommending that Denise start at $13.46
per hour, Step B, Pay Grade 7 and that she move to Step C after successful completion of a
six-month orientation period.
Action Requested
The City Council is asked to hire Denise Cully as Part Time Accounting Clerk starting June
3, 2002 at the pay rates stated above.
