Approval of Community Bible School to be held at Lions Park from Sunday,July 14 to Thursday,July 18
with the following provisions:
• Damage deposit of$100
• Rental Fee of$812.50 covering:
o Lions Park Center and Building Attendant
o Park Shelters
o Band Shell
o Park Space
• Event will need to operate within regular park hours
• Group will pay cost of extra items such as portable toilets, trash pick up
• Group will coordinate with Parks and Recreation staff regarding logistics of event set up and
scheduling in order to accommodate Parks and Recreation programs
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
A collaboration of church groups has requested the use of Lions Park in order to host a Community
Vacation Bible School from July 14-18. They expect between 400-500 participants. The groups include:
• River of Life Church
• Central Lutheran Church
• Christ Church of Otsego
• Church of Hope
• Twin Lakes Christian
Areas at Lions Park that have been requested include Lions Park Center, the band shell, all four park
shelters, and open space including the ball field and surrounding areas. Possible activities include:
• Craft projects
• Gym activities
• Stories
