ACTION REQUESTED
Approve by motion a pyrotechnic fireworks display license for RES Specialty Pyrotechnics, Inc. to
conduct a pyrotechnic display from the Elk River High School football field on July 4, 2013,with the
following conditions:
1. Fire watch shall be established per direction of the fire marshal.
2. Applicant must contact the fire marshal at 763.238.3489 to schedule a pre-loading and a
post-loading inspection.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
RES Specialty Pyrotechnics, Inc. has applied, on behalf of the Elk River Independence Day Committee,
for a pyrotechnic display license to conduct fireworks at the Independence Day Celebration planned for
July 4, 2013.
The Fireworks Operator Certification has been verified with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
The Fire Department has reviewed and approved the site plan.
