SUBJECT: Tobacco License for Coborns
As the Council is aware, Sax Food and Drug will soon be operated by
Coborn's. Coborn's has submitted an application for a tobacco
license to sell tobacco at the grocery store. Although the new
tobacco ordinance is in effect, the city will not be using the new
licensing forms or collecting the new fees until January 1, 1999.
I have informed Coborn's of the City's ordinance and they indicated
they will be in compliance. All application material has been
submitted.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Council motion to approve a tobacco license for Coborn's.
