Adopt by resolution the acknowledgment of$1,475 in contributions to the Police Department from
various groups and organizations within the city. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03 resolutions are
required to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
Background/Discussion
From January 1,2013, through June 30, 2013, the Police Department has received seven donations from
groups and organizations within the city,in most cases the intent of the donation is listed on the attached
spreadsheet.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River has received $1,475 in donations.

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Police Department received donations in the year 2013
(January through June) from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A,
attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
to acknowledge the support and accept the donations on the attached Exhibit A in
accordance with the terms prescribed by the donors.
Passed and adopted this 15 h day of July 2013.
