Set'date for 2014 EDA Budget Workshop to discuss 2014-15 EDA Budget
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Due to the recent transition of city staff and incoming Executive Director, Brian Beeman, staff felt the
need to hold a budget workshop to gain a better understanding of the EDA's goals, desires and comfort
level for budget items before the EDA takes official action on the budget in August.
Staff anticipates the EDA reviewing the budget on August 19 to approve the 2014 budget in order to
meet the September 3, 2013 budget deadline. Staff would like the EDA to have time to review the
proposed 2014 budget before its adoption in August.
Staff recommends the Budget Workshop take place July 22 or July 29 at 5:30 p.m. in order to give staff
time to make any necessary changes before the EDA adopts the budget August 19.
