SUBJECT: Transportation Plan- Public Hearing

Attached please find the Draft Transportation Plan for your review. The Hanning
Commission conducted a public hearing regarding the Transportation Plan at its December
16, 2003 meeting. The Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the plan
as written with the request that 1) transportation planning along the Highway 169 corridor
be accelerated and 2) that transportation priorities be set through a joint meeting of the
Commission and Council.
The Council is asked to conduct the public hearing regarding the plan, but as the plan is
based on the Draft Land Use Plan in the Comprehensive Plan, action on the plan will need
to be tabled until such time that the Comprehensive Plan is adopted.
