Background/Discussion • Just Between Friends, the kids consignment show, cancelled their August show due to a conflict with dates from one of their other shows, however the Arena will be hosting a second gun show on September 7 and 8. The net lost in revenue is about S2,700 in dry floor events. • After a being hired full time by the University of Minnesota Kristina Hefty resigned from the Arena's Skating Director position and Micelle Green was hired from current staff Michelle came up through our skating program and is now a Senior Coach through U.S.F., United Figure Skating. • Hockey Day Minnesota is scheduled for January 18, 2014. The Steering Committee is made up from I.S.D. 728 School District, City of Elk River, E.R. Chamber, and E.R. Youth Hockey. Each entity is responsible for the following areas; • City of Elk River, Facilities. • I.S.D. 728 Fundraising, Marketing, Events. • E.R. Chamber, Lodging—meals, Concession Merchandise, Banquet. • E.R. Youth Hockey,Volunteers, Tickets—Parking. • Staff has met with Bernick's Pepsi in renewing the beverage contract. Attached for your review is a pulmonary outline of the proposal. Over the next month staff will finalize the agreement. • The Barn's first day of ice is scheduled for September 19.
