Kelley farm staff to see about the possibility of participating in a History Day celebration and both
were very receptive to the idea. The thought having a Town Ball game which the public could
participate in was of great interest as well as the Oliver Kelley Farm having some type of exhibit.
Commissioner Mortensen asked if the commission was interested in her developing a flier to be
handed out at some of the upcoming Rendezvous Trade Fairs and talk to some people about
organizing the Rendezvous. Discussion about where to have it involved possibilities of Handke Pit
or Bailey Point. It was suggested that Handke Pit may be a better site because of the archaeological
dig. It was thought that having a Civil War reenactment may not be possible with the 150 year
anniversary of the war happening throughout the country.Commissioner VanPatten will work with
Art Soup to help promote the activities.
