Subject: Water-Tank Truck Tariff
At the November 2003 Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission meeting, all of the
electric and water tariff sheets were changed to reflect 2004 rates, except the 2004 Water-
tank truck tariff. The new bulk water filling station located at Well #7 on Twin Lakes
Road has been completed and operational. Attached is the following information for
your review and consideration.
1) Proposed Bulk Water Sales Tariff sheet along with Water Construction
Site Tariff.
2) Proposed letter to be sent to previous purchasers of bulk water.
3) Letter to Chief of Police informing him the bulk water station is
operational and no unauthorized use of hydrants will be allowed.
Staff recommends the proposed Bulk Water Sales and Construction Site Water Tariffs be
adopted.
ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES
Water— Bulk Rate
Availability: 24 hrs/day during non-winter months. Approximately April 15 thru
October 15.
Location: Bulk water filling station at 18561 Twin Lakes Road.
Rate: $5.00 deposit on plastic credit card which is refundable upon return
of card.
Water rate of$.50/200 gallons =1 click on water dispensing unit.
Conditions: No credit will be allotted for unused portion on card. Careless or
wanton spillage of water at site can result in loss of privilege to
purchase water on a bulk water rate at this facility.
Water- Construction Site
Available: 24 hrs/day
Location: Any hydrant location agreeable to Customer and Elk River
Municipal Utilities.
Equipment: Elk River Municipal Utilities will provide a 2'A" (maximum)meter
and backflow preventer.
Monthly Rate: $150.00/ month plus cost of water at second step rate under General
Water tariff.
