Subject: Construction of New Electrical Feeder
The 2004 electric budget contains a$550,000 item to construct a new electrical feeder
from our Substation North. See the attached marked-up city map. This feeder will allow
us to purchase area 23 from Connexus Energy this spring. This new feeder will have
both underground and overhead components.
On March 4, 2004,we will be receiving bids for the installation of the underground
portion of this new feeder. After the underground conductor and associated padmount
equipment is installed, our electric line crews will terminate the conductors and energize
the feeder. Bid tabulations with staff recommendations will be presented at our meeting.
