SUBJECT: River Park Development Utility Facilities
Per your request, I contacted City Attorney Peter Beck regarding the ability for the City to
acquire additional land beyond park dedication for providing essential services such as wells,
water treatment facilities, or fire stations through the planned unit development process of
which River Park is currently pursuing.
Mr. Beck indicated that while there is no statutory provision for this type of acquisition, it
does happen in other communities and can occur through the planned unit development
process.
