Enclosed is the packet for Monday, October 11, 2004 commission meeting at 4:00 p.m. at
the Elk River Municipal Utilities conference room. We will reconvene our meeting at
6:30 p.m. at the Lions Park Center for the joint City Council/Commission Meeting.
Attached is the meeting notice.
On October 7, 2004 Well #8 will finally be running and placed into production. There
still remains some final cleanup at the site.
Again this year, MMUA is hosting regional meetings around Minnesota. The closest
meeting to Elk River is Buffalo at the Wild Marsh Municipal Golf Course at 7:00 p.m.,
November l 0`h. Please let me know if you desire to attend. Attached is a notice for these
regional meetings.
At the September commission meeting, authorization was given to purchase a van for the
new security/sales person. I was able to purchase this vehicle from the state contract.
List price is approximately $23,700 and state bid price is $15,748.

with the CM: Council on Monday, October 11, 2004, at 6:30 p.m., at Lions Park Center,
[104 Lions Park Drive, Elk River, Minnesota: Economic Development Authority, Heritage
Preservation Commission, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Ice Arena Commission,
Library Board, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, and Utilities
Commission.
In accordance with State Statute, this notice is posted at least three days prior to the meeting
date and each member will be notified of this special meeting, in writing, at least one day
before the meeting.
