WHY DID EMPLOYEE CHOOSE TO ATTEND I wanted to refresh my grammar
skills and pick up some proofreading techniques to help me in my job
duties.
WHAT INFORMATION WAS LEARNED BY ATTENDING How to implement proofreading
strategies, punctuation review, capitalization, spelling along with frequently
misused words. It also covered sentence construction and grammar terms.

WHY DID EMPLOYEE CHOOSE TO ATTEND I do alot of proofreading of documents
and felt it would enhance my ability to be more efficient.
WHAT INFORMATION WAS LEARNED BY ATTENDING Salutation of letters should
end with a colon, not a comma. When using time a.m. and p.m. is always in the
lower case with periods. When using numbers one - ten it is spelled out and for
numbers over ten you would use the acual figure. Consistency is also very
important. The proper use of camas and when to use them. Knowing the difference
in the structure of the sentence to use the word "is" or "are", "who or wham, etc.
It was a refresher on the proper ways to write. I also learned that right isn't
always the way it should be done. The final decision is within your own
school, company, business, or office.
