• The Council is asked to publically recognize on-call Firefighter/Assistant Chief Cliff Anderson
for his 30 years of service to the residents of Elk River.
• Mayor Dietz is asked to present a plaque to on-call Firefighter/Assistant Chief Cliff Anderson.
Background/Discussion
On-call Firefighter/Assistant Chief Clifford G.Anderson was hired in August, 1983. Since that time,
Cliff Anderson has held a number of positions within the department and is currently the on-call
Assistant Chief. Cliff Anderson has distinguished himself as a dedicated firefighter and leader.
In addition to his on-call position as a city firefighter, he also serves as the city's fire marshal. Cliff began
his full-time career with the city as a fire inspector/administrative assistant in July, 2000. The position
eventually transitioned to the tide of fire marshal and is now part of the Fire and Building Safety Division.
