programs from the summer season,the Farmers Market,will conclude to October 3. Once
complete staff will review the Farmers Market to determine how well the Market performed.

Subject: Activity Center Report
September Recap:
• The Activity Center celebrated National Senior Center Month in September. In
addition to our regular schedule, many special programs and activities were held at
the Activity Center.
• A Newcomer's Lunch was attended by 20 people on September 20.
• Women's Health and Fitness Day on September 25 featured a walk to Bailey Point
Nature Preserve. A total of 20 women enjoyed walking on a beautiful afternoon.
• Senior Center Month Celebration featuring the music of Joanne Bolles was held on
September 26.Joanne received a standing ovation for her performance. Over 75
attended and enjoyed cake and refreshments after the performance.
• Other Senior Center programs included presentations on Memory Loss,Dream
Analysis,a Flu Shot Clinic and Diabetic Shoe Clinic.

Average attendance was up by 11 participants per day from the previous month of August.
Upcoming Events:
• The Activity Center fundraiser for C.A.E.R, our local food shelf will be held on
October 28. This is an evening event with dinner and music. Registrations are going
well for this event.
• Trips planned during October include the History Theater, Geritol Frolics,Mystic
Lake and the Hindu Temple.All trip registrations continue to do very well.
