SUBJECT: Update on Hillside City Park by BLAST
Bob Mueller from BLAST will be in attendance at the January meeting to discuss the
following issues:
1. Provide a status report on trail condition and use of the trails by various user-types.
BLAST would like to detail the amount of time spent on maintenance and construction
of the trails since the Commission approved them in 2000.
2. Discuss the creation of user fees for non-residents, which would help fund the cost of
improvements at the park. Future improvements identified include a changing pavilion,
drinking fountain,paved parking area,picnic tables and grills. Collecting user fees could
entail either a seasonal parking pass or an on-site pay box with a daily fee. Residents
would be issued a free seasonal parking pass by showing proof of residency to the
Recreation Department.
3. Discuss additional clinics and events for the 2003 riding season.
Please be prepared with any questions you might have for Mr.Mueller regarding mountain
biking at Hillside City Park.
