Resolution I -
Resolution of the City of Elk River Amending Resolution 07-88 Establishing
the Meeting Dates of the Heritage Preservation Commission
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has previously established an advisory committee
related to issues pertaining to die historical, archaeological, engineering, and cultural heritage
of the City of Elk River; and
WHEREAS, the Elk,River City Council previously adopted Chapter 2,Division 2 of the
Elk River City Code, establishing the Heritage Preservation Commission; and
WHEREAS, Elk River City Code,Section 2-215,titled, "Meetings and rules of
procedure," calls for the City Council to establish by resolution the meeting dates, times, and
locations of the Heritage Preservation Commission.
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council adopted Resolution 07-88 establishing the
Heritage Preservation Commission meetings for the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00
p.m. at City Hall.
WHEREAS, the Heritage Preservation Commission wishes to change meetings from
mond-Ay to quarterly, and as needed,to better accommodate personal work schedules and to
more efficiently address a greater number of agenda items at each meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk:
River,Minnesota, as follows: by the City Council of the City of Elk River that effective
January 16,2014, the Elk River Heritage Preservation Commission shall meet on the third
Thursday of the month, at 6:00 p.m. in the months of January,April,July and
October, at City Fall. If additional meetings are needed they will be called and
noticed as a`Special Meeting'.
