1. Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the meeting of the Elk River Board of
Adjustments was called to order at 6:30 p.m.by Vice Chair Westberg.
2. Consider 11/12/13 Agenda
Moved by Commissioner Eric Johnson and seconded by Commissioner
Jeremy Johnson to approve the November 12, 2013 agenda. Motion carried 5-
0.
3. Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
4. Minutes
Motion by Commissioner Eric Johnson and seconded by Commissioner
Jeremy Johnson to approve the August 13, 2013 Minutes. Motion carried 5-0.
5. Request by Little Lambs Christian School for Variance to Allow
Additional Signage, Case No. V 13-06 — Public Hearing
The staff report was presented by Zack Carlton. Staff recommended approval of the
request based on findings in the report.
Motion by Commissioner Konietzko and seconded by Commissioner Eric
Johnson to approve the request by Little Lambs Christian School for a
Variance to allow construction of a second freestanding sign measuring 12
square foot in sign area, Case No.V 13-06,based on the following findings:
1. The variance is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the
ordinance.
2. The variance is consistent with the City of Elk River comprehensive plan.

3. The petitioner proposes to use the property in a reasonable manner not
permitted by the zoning ordinance
4. The plight of the petitioner is due to circumstances unique to the property
not a consequence of the petitioner's own action or inaction
5. The variance, if granted,will not alter the essential character of the
locality.
Motion carried 5-0.
6. Adjournment
There being no further business, Commissioner Eric Johnson moved to adjourn the
meeting of the Elk River Board of Adjustments at 6:35 p.m.
