The Recreation Division staff has begun the process of reviewing the Lions Park Center,
Trott Brook Barn, and Outdoor Facility Use form policies and procedures. Our current
procedures were developed over seven years ago and staff has a concern that aspects of the
procedures are outdated. At one of the upcoming Commission meetings staff will be
soliciting feedback from the Commission in regards to recommended adjustments.
The Recreation Division staff are conducting an in-depth review of our recreation program
offerings. The intent of this review is to determine if our current offerings fit with our
Department goals and objectives. Information gathering through the Parks and Recreation
Master Plan Process will also be utilized in this review process.
Staff is in the process of reviewing the City-Wide Volunteer program. The Volunteer
Coordinator was unavailable for several months for personal reasons but is now able to re-
engage with the program. Staff will be working with the Volunteer Coordinator to promote
and grow the program over the next several months.
