RE: ZANE AVENUE ASSESSMENTS
Dear Council Members:
Now that we have received bids for the Zane Avenue Improvements, it would be appropriate to
schedule the assessment hearing for the assessment of the lateral sanitary sewer and
watermain. As you are aware, the bids were very close to the feasibility estimates; therefore,
we are suggesting to proceed to the assessment hearing with the dollar amounts proposed in
the feasibility study. Attached is a resolution for the City Council's consideration that would
determine the cost to be assessed and order the preparation of the assessment roll. We would
suggest that Monday, August 12, 2002, be the date of the assessment hearing. As you are
aware from the public hearing, there are only four properties involved with this project.
If you any questions regarding the assessment of this project, I will be in attendance at your July
8, 2002, City Council meeting.
Sincerely,
Howard R. Green Company
