Adopt,by motion,a resolution acknowledging the $2,540 contributed to the Police Department from
various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From July 1, 2013, through December 31, 2013, the Police Department has received three donations
from groups and organizations. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached spreadsheet.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03, donations and contributions shall be approved for acceptance and
resolutions are required to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River has received $2,540 in donations.

Resolution 14-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions to the
Police Department
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2013 (July through
December) from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A, attached
hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk
River,Minnesota, as follows: that the donations on the attached Exhibit A are accepted in
accordance with the terms prescribed by the donors.
Passed and adopted this 21" day of January 2014.
