Recognized Zylstra Harley-Davidson HOG Chapter for clearing snow from city fire hydrants.
Background/Discussion
On January 4, 2014, the Zylstra Harley-Davidson HOG (Harley Owners Group) took to the streets to
assist with clearing snow from fire hydrants across the city. The group,which consisted of 14 volunteers,
cleared a total of 185 hydrants.
Ensuring that hydrants are easily accessible greatly aids the Fire Department in quickly responding to
emergencies. The Zylstra Harley-Davidson HOG has been actively involved in this public safety
initiative the last few years.
Staff will present a Certificate of Appreciation to the Zylstra Harley-Davidson HOG for their efforts.
