• February 28, 2003 memo from Street and Parks Superintendent Phil Hals regarding Field
5 and 6 Construction
• Youth Athletic Complex Revenue and Expenditure Summary, 1995 — 2003
Now that construction season is upon us, staff felt it appropriate to provide the Commission
with an update regarding the development of the Youth Athletic Complex. The contract
with Breuer Homes has been signed for construction of the concession stand. Footing and
foundation work should begin by April 11, 2003.
We are working with Girl's Softball to find contractors for completion of the interior of the
concession stand. Interior work will include plumbing, electrical, and sheetrock. This work
is not included in the 2003 budget, so we hope to obtain as many donations of labor and
materials as possible.
Phil Hals, Street and Parks Superintendent, has provided a construction schedule for the
completion of Fields 5 and 6 at the complex. They should be ready for play in 2004.
Staff will provide a brief presentation of the information included in this memo and attached
and will be available for any questions the Commission may have. No action on this item is
required.
