MEMORANDUM
TO: Park and Recreation Commission
FROM: Michele Bergh, Recreation Manager
DATE: June 14, 2003
SUBJECT: June Staff Report
Summer Brochure
Our final summer brochure is out and we've had great response. The phones have been
very busy. The Star News did a really nice article on our offerings. The brochures went out
with the Star News on the 4th and were also sent home through the schools with students.
Additionally,we sent flyers to the schools on some of our new programming.
Summer Staff
Our summer staffing is complete and I think we have a great group of employees. I am
really excited about some of the new staff we have and expect to have a wonderful summer.
Fall Planning
We are starting to plan fall. We'll be adding a few new programs and I will keep you posted
as more information becomes available. This brochure goes to print mid-July and will be
delivered the first Wednesday in August.
