SUBJECT: Funding Request by Elk River Senior High School Tennis
Laura Brown,representing Elk River High School Tennis,has approached staff regarding
the need to refurbish the tennis courts at the High School.
Ms. Brown will be in attendance at the meeting to review the estimates for refurbishment of
the tennis courts and to discuss a partnership with School District #728 to accomplish this
task. The School District will be requesting funds from the City of Elk River to accomplish
this task. Ms. Brown has been informed that it is likely that funding would not occur in
2003, but that it could be considered as part of the 2004 Capital Improvements Budget.
The Commission should be prepared to consider Ms. Brown's request and make a
recommendation to the City Council.
