Consider Resignation - Donna Malecha
1. Consider resignation from Donna Malecha - City Secretary-Receptionist
2. Request authorization to hire a temporary replacement for Donna through a
temporary agency
BACKGROUND
Donna Malecha has submitted her resignation, which will be effective August 16, 2002. She
has accepted a position with the City of Blame. Donna has been an excellent employee and
we will miss her. We wish her the best in her career advancement with the City of Blaine.
Staff is requesting to hire a temporary receptionist to fill in for Donna. Staff plans to go
through the employment process to hire an employee sometime after the primary election.
ACTION REOUESTED
1. Accept resignation from Donna Malecha
2. Request authorization to hire a temporary receptionist through a temp agency.

Dear Sandy:
I would like to thank you for all you have done for me here at the City of Elk
River. It has been wonderful working for you, and representing this great City as
the afternoon receptionist/secretary this past year.
However, ! have accepted an offer with the City of Blaine, hence tendering my
letter of resignation. My last day of employment with the City will be Friday,
August 16. !t has been a pleasure working with everyone here; they are all a
tremendous group of people, and that is something ! will truly miss!
