Park/Trail Developments 1. June and July 2003 Park Dedication Fund Balance Sheets 2. Mayor Klinzing's Comments on the Draft Comprehensive Plan The Mayor requested that her comment letter be distributed to all City commissions. 3. July Recreation Department Update This information was presented to the City Council at the July 21, 2003 meeting. The City Council also heard a presentation from Go Driving School against Recreation's program offering of driving lessons; a memo explaining the program follows the July update memo from Ms. Bergh. 4. YMCA Update 5. Lions Park Use Follow Up As members of the Commission are aware, we have heard several changes to Mr. Calguire's plans for his end of summer concert at Lions Park. Attached is the letter outlining the final conditions as well as a memo from Police Chief Beahen regarding his concerns with this event. We will provide another follow-up at the September Commission Meeting. 6 Adopt- a -Park Update As of August 1, the following parks have been adopted: Lions Park Great Northern Trail (South of Cty Rd 1) Oak Savannah Woodland Trails Rivers Edge Commons Deerfield Hill Camp Cozy Mississippi Oaks Hillside Park Riverplace A thank-you to Dave Anderson and Darlene Nickols for helping to get the signs up!
