Holiday Programs
Our Holiday Program Guide was delivered October 1'with the Star News and the phones
have been busy with registration. We are looking at adding a referral program and a new
resident program to help promote our services and programs.
Family Fright Night
We are in the midst of planning this event and look forward to another successful year. I
have arranged for Sherburne County STS to help with clean up afterwards. We will be
adding the Country Club to the spaces used and plan on having the children's projects and
games indoors.
Leagues
Women's Volleyball and Co Rec Volleyball started this week. We have 2 more team than
last year for Women's and 1 more team for Co Rec. We look forward to another successful
year with these. Intramural Basketball will not begin until December this year, allowing time
for Varsity tryouts to be completed.
Skating Academy
The Arena is having problems with the floor in the Barn and this delayed the start of some
of the Skating Academy classes this session due to ice availability. We are hoping the
problems will be resolved soon and classes can begin.
MRPA Conference
RaeAnn and I attended the state conference last week and had a wonderful time. We
attended sessions on marketing, being visible in the community, how to deal with the
changing times, benefits of a healthy lifestyle, what to look for in registration software, and
more. The keynote speakers were very good and very motivating. We also spent time
brainstorming ideas off the sessions we attended and came back feeling rejuvenated and
excited.
