Request
On September 26, 2003 staff received the attached letter and check from Tiller Corporation to assist
the City in better securing the Woodland Trails Park site. These monies have been deposited in the
Park Equipment Reserve Fund and will be used for the purchase of security gates to replace snow
fencing that is currently used to close off certain sections of the trail system.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the Commission move to acknowledge the contribution from Tiller
Corporation and to express the City's thanks to them for assisting in improving the City's park
system.

Tiller Corporation supports Elk River's Park and Recreation Commission, the Parks
Department, and the citizen volunteers in their efforts to create and maintain the
Woodland Trails Park. This is a wonderful facility that we are proud to be involved with.
It is our understanding that the City is considering a project that would improve the
security at this facility. In that regard, we are pleased to enclose a contribution from two
of our operating divisions,Barton Sand and Gravel Co. and Commercial Asphalt Co. in
the amount of$ 1,372.93
