Approve,by motion,the hiring of Jake Larsen as a fulltime Liquor Store Clerk effective February 19,
2014.
Background/Discussion
Full time Liquor Store Clerk JoAnn Warren is retiring this month and we went to market to fill this
position.
We received 34 applications,interviewed six candidates, and recommend Jake Larsen to be our new
Fulltime Liquor Store Clerk. Mr. Larsen has been working for Target for the past seven years,most
recently as the Sales Floor Manager. Last summer he also managed the Plant Place Green House in Elk
River.
Mr. Larsen will start at step A of pay grade 1. Based on satisfactory performance,Mr. Larsen will be
eligible to move to step B in six months. All other pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
