Approve,by motion,the hiring of Colleen Eddy as Economic Development Specialist effective March
24, 2014.
Background/Discussion
We received 13 applications for this position,interviewed four candidates and recommend Colleen Eddy
to be our new Economic Development Specialist.
Ms. Eddy comes to us with seven years of experience as the President for the Forest Lake Area Chamber
of Commerce. She has a strong background in marketing and business retention and expansion activities.
Ms. Eddy will start at step A of pay grade 7. Based on satisfactory performance,Ms. Eddy will be eligible
to move to step B in six months. All other pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
