Action Requested
Mayor Dietz will present a plaque to representatives of The Bank of Elk River acknowledging their
contribution and support.
Background/Discussion
The Bank of Elk River contributed funds to support special events and programs operated by the Elk
River Parks and Recreation Department.
Attached is the plaque language acknowledging and recognizing The Bank of Elk River for their
contribution for 2013.
Financial Impact
The financial contribution was in the amount of$14,000.

Acknowledging
Contributions to the City of Elk River
Whereas,the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups,organizations,and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
Whereas,The Bank of Elk River has sponsored the Riverfront Concert Series since it
began in 2007 and has been the sole sponsor for the past five years;and
Whereas,The Bank of Elk River's donation also provided financial support for
downtown events such as the Farmers Market,Chalk-It-Up,Geocaching,and Kidstock
Special Events;and
Whereas,the City of Elk River recognizes The Bank of Elk River for proactively
supporting and contributing to civic and municipal causes;and
Whereas,the city recognizes The Bank of Elk River for encouraging and supporting its
employees in volunteering and dedication to the community;and
Whereas,The Bank of Elk River's generous financial support and leadership is a proud
example of true community banking services;and
Whereas,the city is grateful for The Bank of Elk River's demonstrated integrity,
dedication,and loyalty in supporting our community by helping to provide free quality
entertainment.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
in a unanimous vote,to acknowledge the generous financial support and commend
The Bank of Elk River for their community focus,good corporate citizenship and leadership.
