Discussion of request to hold a 5K Run/Walk in Woodland Trails Park
Approval by motion of 5K Run/Walk event at Woodland Trails with the following provisions:
• Park Rental fee be waived
• Damage deposit of$100
• Group will pay cost of extra items such as portable toilets,trash pick up
• No marking of any kind allowed on the trail system (cones maybe used)
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
• The group "Running for Justice" has requested the use of Woodland Trails in order to host a 5K
Run/Walk School on September 28 from 9:30 a.m.- Noon. They expect approximately 300 - 400
participants.
• This event is intended to raise funds for programs that address human trafficking issues
• This event was held for the first time in 2013 and had no major issues
