The Parks and Recreation Master Plan Committee include Parks and Recreation Director
Michael Hecker, Recreation Manager Steve Benoit,Parks Supervisor Rodney Schreifels, Park
Planner Chris Leeseberg and Park Commission Members,Mark Ahlness and Ryan
Holmgren.
The time frame for this project is January 2014 to September 2014.
The Community Survey arrived in most people's mail on March 25 and 26. It is requested
surveys be dropped in the mail by Friday,April 11. No additional postage is necessary. The
Star News had a recent article asking people to send in their surveys.
Focus Group Sessions were held on Thursday,March 27. Mark and Ryan will report on the
sessions at the April 2 meeting. The schedule was as follows:
Community Stakeholders: 3:00 pm- 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm
Athletic Associations: 7:30 pm- 9:00 pm
A focus group session (work session) for the Parks and Recreation Commission is scheduled
for Wednesday,June 11. This will be a work session scheduled prior to the regular meeting.
A Community Open House is scheduled for Wednesday,June 25 at 5 - 8 pm This will be a
public review and input on needs, priorities and the framework plan direction.
