Temporary On-Sale Liquor License for Boys and Girls Club
Event
REQUEST
Temporary one-day on-sale liquor license
APPLICANT
Boys and Girls Club of Elk River, Inc.
BACKGROUND
The Boys and Girls Club are planning a fund raising event. The event is called "A Taste of
the Holidays" and will be held on November 29 at the Boys and Girls Club. The event will
include wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, piano music and a silent auction. The goal is to raise
over $10,000.
Because wine tasting is part of the event, a temporary on-sale liquor license is required. The
Boys and Girls Club is a nonprofit organization, which makes them eligible for a temporary
liquor license. The application has been submitted along with liquor liability insurance. The
club will be closed to the public during this event.
ACTION REQUESTED
Council motion granting a temporary on-sale liquor license for the Boy's and Girl's Club.
