The folio, , g is a short summary of the agenda items for the April 16 meeting. More
detailed inlirmation will be provided verbally.

5.1 The Vi ii onary Subcommittee has met twice in the last month to finalize their
recornmenlation for the Energy City Action Plan.The Action Plan in this packet will be
updated in e Visionary Subcommittee meeting directly prior to the ECC meeting May 21.
The Visio ry Subcommittee will present the newest version and ask the Commission for
input.
5.2 The Cii, of Elk River and therefore Energy City have participated in GreenStep Cities
since 2010. reenStep Cities is a MPCA"voluntary challenge,assistance,and recognition
program to help cities achieve their sustainability and quality-of-life goals". GreenStep Cities
recommen Is joining the"Regional Indicators Initiative"in order to measure annual
performanJ- in areas of Energy,Water,Travel,and Waste.The program is looking to
expand ano would welcome the City of Elk River/Energy City's participation.Energy City
would the I,e able to make recommendation on future project based on the data.The cost
for a city to start and get caught up with the data collection would be$3000,for which we
are curren , looking for financial resources.Please see the MI_Get Involved document
attached foi more information.
6.1 The Ci NI of Elk River has begun working on their 2015 budget.A report will be given at
next mon Is ECC meeting.
